A finish!
A start of the August block from Sue's Imperial Blooms from 2011.
And I should never have looked to see what was stored in that cedar chest or so I thought. Lots of lost treasures. Lots of clothes that my mind said, why am I saving these. Many memories from the past. I'm glad I decided to open the chest.

It's good to sort through things and find treasures you had forgotten, almost as good as shopping!!

It is nice to work from kits, sometimes it is nice to just create without thinking too much. I love going through old drawers and chests, you never know what you will find and I am going to go back to using cloths for quilting when I run out of fabrics, lol.

Your cedar chest looks just like the one that was my mom's. I have passed it on to The Princess and I have my grandma's. My mom was from Texas - I wonder if that was a popular model?

I love exploring boxes of things I'd forgotten about. Sometimes though the memories can be overwhelming.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, but I didn't use or draw a pattern. The quilt was inspired by a wallhanging of crosses from Linda Brannock. I just cut and sewed as I went along.
