A picture for Constance of the baptish fan stencil and the quilting. Just using a black crochet cotton for the thread so it really shows, which I like. I bought the stencil online from the Stencil Company since I don't have access to a local quilt shop. I'm almost done since I'm only quilting the fan up to the wool house. I've already quilted an echo stitch on and in the house.
The big horn sheep surprised me yesterday and today by coming to drink water up close to the house.
I was actually outside puttering around when I heard them behind me. Was able to go inside and grab my camera without bothering them to take the pics.
So much better not having to shoot thru the screen door.
Looking for shade since they still have their winter coats, just now starting to shed.
A relaxing pose, was able to sit myself and stitch while I watched them.
Wonderful photos of the sheep. I think if I lived there, I wouldn't get anything done, I would be outside all the time.

I'm intrigued by the ladder.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos of the sheep...it must be warm there for them to want to be in the shade so early in the year. I like the quilting you are doing...it looks great!
ReplyDeleteYour day must have been fabulous! Your quilting is very nice, I always like the fan pattern.
ReplyDeleteLove the quilting Nancy. Thanks for explaining and showing me. Constance
ReplyDeleteThe quilting looks great. I think the black thread looks really nice. How wonderful to get that close to the sheep. I never get tired of watching animals in nature.
ReplyDeleteWhat a peaceful setting! I like that you used the black thread. I think it works well with your quilt.
