Dear Nancy, I do think the squirrels(SQ) I have in NC are food snobs ;) After seeing how much your little SQ enjoyed your lettuce I put out fresh lettuce & carrot pieces, totally ignored & wilted by the following day. SQ straight for the bird seed nearby. And my SQ's aren't near as pretty as your MT one, here just plain old brown & a bushy tail ;}
Hi, Nancy, I just joined for blog.. we call those ground squirrels chipmunks here. A lot of people say they are destructive, but I have never had a problem. Melinda
Great series of photos, I love your captions.
ReplyDeleteThey love petunias too! My Mom could never get them to get flowers while we lived in Estes Park-until after the Chipmunks shut down for the winter!
ReplyDeleteOh how sweet...I do love Chipmunks, such comical little fellows......enjoyed your captions and pictures, Francine.
