Started the first block of Imperial Blooms, cutting out the two main pieces, so thrilled to be able to make this quilt thanks to some unknown friends.
And then the beginning of a tote, the white wool check is a woolrich jumper, that I bought at the thrift store, have made one before and gave it to a friend. I cut it so the front with the pocket will have the applique underneath. I like that
the pockets are already made and all I need to do is stitch the applique, lining and some straps. Makes a nice size tote, and I love to recyle wool.
My heart goes out to all those in the past of these storms.

how do you applique? So many points and turns! it's going to be gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI like what I see so far. I used to be able to get thrift wool on dollar day, now even at half price, it is too high. Glad I stocked up;)

Wondering if you use fusible interfacing, such as Heat & Bond. Thanks ~ Linda, NE IA
ReplyDeleteI am officially lagging behind on this BOM but I am hoping that I will be able to make some progress once school is out. Love the applique on your purse.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to watch your progress on this one :o)
