Wool tote

I made this wool tote from a woolrich jumper that I bought at the thrift store for my boss, Julie, her birthday present. You can see the pockets on the front from the jumper, I added the wool applique, the sunflowers are based on a Jan Patek design and added some yarn couching to the centers and the lining is a Brannock and Patek fabric and added it to the handles also for contrast.

Thanks again for the good wishes for me and Jim, he seems to be improving as the catheter starts working again, he will have Baclofen added to the pump on Wednesday in combination with the pain medication he is already receiving from the pump. He takes Valium by mouth, several a day to control the spasms and cramps. Drowsiness is a big side effect from the Valiums so the pump is a better way to go with the Baclofen. The only problem with the pump is that is can only go so high in the spine or it effects the lungs and compromises breathing, so there is no relief in the upper extremities or neck. There was a woman who used to have a blog about living with Stiff Man syndrome, but she has stopped blogging, she also talked about the change in her personality, mental quickness, falls and fatigue. The same thing that challenges Jim every day.
