Wildlife Monday

We are having chinook winds, gusts up to 70 miles an hour so all our snow has melted and we have lots of wildife this morning. It's hunting season and we have a wolf pack nearby so all the deer and big horns are staying here where they seem content.

Those are big horns in the first picture and second picture is of a fawn that had a wound on her leg, you can barely see that it is healing well.

Another picture of one of the deer and that's my to be studio cabin in the background with the red roof.

And the last is of the Big Horn with her baby coming up to the bird bath to drink, it use to sit up on that concrete pedestal, but they kept knocking it down with their holves until it broke.

  1. Oh my gosh I envy you so much, how many times have I said that though? I would love to have all those critters in my back yard, but all I have are possums! I am with you though, I would be on pins and needles until stupid hunting season was over. When will it be over? It doesn't last very long, does it?

  2. Such wonderful wildlife you have all around you .... I saw a rodent eating from my neighbor's birdfeeder today. I don't think that counts *s*.

  3. Great pics as usual! We had an 8 pointer and a 6 pointer in our yard yesterday! But it was after I left for work, but Mark and the kids saw it - but can you believe they didn't take a pic. Darn.

  5. I am really behind reading posts, so sorry for my comments way back when. It is so much fun looking at your blog - seeing all the animal pictures - it is a completely different way of life than my citygirl lifestyle.
