Love the pictures! I didn't realize that squirrels ate pine cones either. I knew that I had been finding the "cobs" allover my deck because we have large white pines next to our house. I just thought they were malformed pine cones, or ones that had lost their parts before they fell. I have noticed a big difference in the acorns here this year also. We have huge oaks as well and this year the acorns are very prolific, large and a lot of them are dark brown or black when they fall. Not sure what that means. I love the "Pokeberry Quilt".
Once again, I have to say how much I enjoy your blog. Your photos of your furry neighbors are so much fun. Love the stitching too. Hope you are having a restful Sunday.
I didn't realize they ate so much of the cone! I thought they just picked the "seeds" out from under the "petals". Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThat little guy is so cute, love the photos.

Those dumb squirrels! I 'find' those stripped cones in my yard all the time with my bare feet!!! UGH!
