The Collector Series
I've been quilting the Collector Series by hand with the big stitch using a DMC crochet cotton in black. I have most of the blocks outlined and now I can go back and outline the applique. I love using the black thread for quilting in a prim quilt.
That is the perfect quilt for big stitch. I like using the spool floss for large stitches, easier to use and cheaper since I can use a coupon for one spool.
Debbie, DMC crochet cotton comes on a roll and in different sizes and goes further than spool floss since the rolls are larger and is less expensive than floss. Nancy
Love your Collector Series, Nancy! I have the patterns/kits from Jan Patek to do one of these days. I'll give the big stitch quilting a try, I do love the look! Thanks for the inspiration!
Congratulations on a lovely job, now the fun part of the final quilting design.
