I rarely buy "nice" wool, usually use thrift wool or wool someone has been nice enough to send me. Really, really needed these shades of wool for a project and broke down and bought them on Ebay. Rarely can I find shades of white at the thrift store, these are wonderful, especially love the faint stripe.
And then speaking of thrift wool, had the urge to cut up some from my stash and start a string quilt with wool. Will see where it takes me.
I love it when I can find light shades, great for over dying.
ReplyDeleteLove how that looks and can't wait to see what you are making.
I need to go through my basement stash and see what I have, probably too much;) I just finished the outer border stitch, by hand, so now I can trim off the excess and bind the quilt. Still have some inner parts to do, but I figured it was already sewed to the edge, so doing the binding so I have less bulk. Will be doing up our BOM this weekend, so we can have it done for next week.

Pretty wool. Do you remember which vendor on ebay? I'm always looking for a good place to buy wool...
ReplyDeleteThe ID for the seller of the wool is
ReplyDeletethefrugalhooker. Nice wool and a price I could live with, excellent service.
Thanks, Nancy!
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy,
ReplyDeleteThose are really lovely shades of wool and your string piecing is looking great.
I haven't worked much with wool but have loved the way it feels. Could become a regular thing!!
