Primitive Placemats and Have a Little Faith

I finished three of the primitive placemats made from the Brannock and Patek labels.  I like them.  One more to go.

I'm looking forward tonight to be able to watch the movie on TV based on the true story, Have a Little Faith by Mitch Albom.  I read this book to Jim during his final days.  An inspiring, thought filled book.
My favorite passage from the book.
"The story of my recent life.  I like that phrase.  It makes more sense than the story of life, because we get so many lives between birth and death.  A life to be a child.  A life to come of age.  A life to wander, to settle, to fall in love, to parent, to test our promise, to realize our mortality-and in some cases, to do something after that realization."

  2. Hi Nancy,
Your place mats are great. I totally understand the phrase 'realise our own mortality'.
I read a quote today which I liked.
'When I let go of who I am, I'll become who I might be'. Lao Tzu.
    Inspiring!!

What a great quote. I call my Life chapters. Each chapter had people in them I loved. The chapters seem to get more challenging as I get older but if I learn something from my experiences I appreciate Life and people so much more.Love the placemats.
