Can't Sleep

I continue to go thru boxes and pictures of stuff, things I want to send to Jim's family that they might want and came across this picture of Jim and Spider.  Jim was oh so young here.  So handsome.  Makes me feel overwhelmed with sadness now.

A story to tell about how we came to have Spider.  We had a big male cat, all black that we called Charlie.  This is when we lived in Texas.  Didn't know until later that our neighbors owned Charlie also and called him Jingles.  Charlie came into the garage carrying Spider in his mouth, her leg was broken.  Probably from getting caught in the fan of one of the cars.  It was a compassionate gesture from a cat, bringing her to us to help.  We took her to the vet of course for surgery and had her for years as we did Charlie, aka Jingles.

  1. Jim and Spider look so peaceful.
Hang in there Nancy, you're doing great.
He certainly was a good looking man, what a treasure.
    Hugs, Angela.x

  2. I should understand he was your lover.
I'm sad for you and I send you my best thinks.
    Read you sonn!!

  3. Dear Nancy, I'm so sorry for your sadness. I am keeping you in my prayers, and hoping for comfort when you go through your pictures and memories of Jim.
    Love, Jeni

  4. Nancy, There is nothing anyone can say to take the sadness away at times. Across the miles you have many of us that are hearing your pain and putting you in our thoughts and prayers.Today hopefully will be a better day,Hugs Cheri
