Time to pick up a needle
A thoughtful blogger sent me a box of old Brannock & Patek fabrics, it came after the accident and I now have time to go thru the box and handle these old vintage fabrics. I am thrilled she thought of me to send them. Will hem this little piece of fabric of angels for a little curtain. A good way to start.

Lucky you! When that particular fabric came out, I lived in an area where no shop carried Brannock & Patek fabrics. Enjoy playing with all the fabrics from the box.
ReplyDeleteWhat a treasure. Happy for you.
ReplyDeleteLovely fabric Nancy, some of the older fabrics are wonderful aren't they?

Je suis heureuse d'apprendre que vous allez reprendre vos aiguilles. Ce tissu est très beau.
ReplyDeleteI thought of you this evening as I heard this quote attributed to Rose Kennedy:
ReplyDelete"Birds sing after a storm; why shouldn't people feel as free to delight in whatever sunlight remains to them?" I hope that you find delight in all the things that previously brought you joy.
Wonderful piece of fabric will make a lovely colourful curtain.
ReplyDeleteMay the needle & thread bring you some comfort....
ReplyDeleteMy favourite quote-'my soul is fed by needle and thread'. I use this often in my work and have been able to find such comfort in my stitching, I'm sure you will too.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
Glad to see you creating again,it will help you to heal, phyllis
ReplyDeleteThat fabric is almost vintage.
ReplyDeleteHope it brings you happy memories.

ReplyDeleteThere is sure to be comfort in your stitching time.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice idea! Your friend sending it to you and you using it for a curtain too. I really like the folk art fabric. Good way to get stitching.
