Sidney
A picture of Sidney, she belonged to Jim, she just allowed me to be around her. She has been mourning Jim now since his passing. I set her up a cozy spot under his dresser in his room. She sleeps on an old fur wrap that I bought at a garage sale that I was planning to make a purse from. Even has a heating pad for her to stay warm on these chilly nights. She still only puts up with me. It makes me sad to watch her when she stares out from under the dresser, wondering, waiting? I love it when she finally relaxes enough to fall asleep. Much comfort for her little heart. There is a block on the Comfort Quilt that captures her likeness being groomed by her deer friend. A wonderful memory.

Poor Sidney, cats do sense things and know when something is wrong.
ReplyDeleteSomeday I would like to try more detailed quilts from photos.

Nancy ~ that is so sweet! Our cat LOVES my husband ~ I wake up in the night and he's curled up by him, sleeping on his arm. It's almost too much to bear!!! Smart cat ~ husband didn't really want me to keep him!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks a cosy spot to snooze. So sad that she is feeling your loss and you can't explain.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing the block.
Poor baby girl. She will come around...eventually.
ReplyDeletePoor kitty!
ReplyDeletePoor little Syndey...you just know she is waiting for Jim's return every minute...what a cozy little spot for her to have for comfort and feeling safe...

It must be so hard for animals to comprehend the parting, she must know she's still very much loved though...

It goes to show animals can love and feel heartbreak and pain. Poor Sidney! Bless you for taking care of her while she is in mourning as well. You two need each other!
ReplyDeleteJust like you, Sidney will never forget. She's another reminder that Jim left behind. Thinking of you as the weather turns nicer and you'll be able to get out more often. Wishing sunshiny days for you.
