Bailey and The Family Quilt progress

Have to finish The Family Quilt this weekend, have all but one photo left to transfer, need the photo from Julie, told her I wasn't going to be running that quilt up to her on Christmas eve. Just can't decide whether to sew them on with the machine or applique, think I may sew with the machine, close to the picture to anchor it and then needle turn the outside trim. Sounds like a plan.

And then this cute story about my Burmese Bailey. It is very cold here like most of the country, think it was 9 degrees last night. Bailey sleeps with Jim on his bed, has his own heating pad as do the other two, Marvin sleeps in the living room on his sleeping pad since Sidney and Bailey still hate him. Sidney has her own heating pad on the floor next to Jim's oxygen concentrator, puts out hot air, Bailey has the newest heating pad with an automatic shutoff every 2 hours. Jim had been telling me that Bailey has been waking him up in the middle of the night by licking his face. Really, but then the other night, it was very cold, Bailey woke him up by licking his face, then went and sat on his heating pad, it had shut off, Jim turned it back on and both went back to sleep. Now is that a smart cat or just spoiled.

  1. I'd say that is one smart cat!

The Family quilt is such a wonderful piece. I like that it is to the prim side in design. I made a Double Wedding Ring quilt with family photos in the center of each ring for my in-laws 50th anniversary (several years ago). I asked my SIL twice for a picture of her grand-children. Well, I made the quilt without at least one of them because I never got the pictures. I could only use what I borrowed secretly from my MIL.
