Well, I finally decided to pull out this old BOM from Jan Patek, several years old and put the squares together. I need to add the borders, it's fused applique which I never do and the edges are hand stitched with a tiny whip stitch. Now that I see it this far along, I don't know why I never completed it back when.

That's a beautiful quilt Nancy! I wonder why you didn't finish it. I love it!

ReplyDeleteYou'll have it finished in no time. Just loved that fabric line *s*
ReplyDeleteIt is absolutely gorgeous!! I never thought I would do fused applique, but add some hand-blanket stitching and it is wonderful. I can't wait to see the border!
ReplyDeleteI've always loved this quilt. Funny - I've decided to get this one out also. The top has been finished for 2-3 years. I'm going to get it basted together so I can big stitch it. I got linen thread from Jan way back when to do it. About time!
ReplyDeleteWell, I read my previous comment and it was unclear! I love your needleturned applique...I am working on a blanket stitched quilt and I guess it is stuck in my little head!!
ReplyDeleteI like the birds on the quilt, and also the purse that you made.
