Primitive Checkerboard & a Bald Eagle

I made this quilt several years ago and you just never know when someone else is going to like your work, especially when it's primitive, so glad Fons & Porter took a liking to it, it's in the Spring issue of Easy Quilts. And it is easy, the applique is needleturn, even the geese but the
pieces are big, so it doesn't take that long.

And then, can't post without a wildlife creature, a friend of mine took this picture of our resident Bald Eagle along the river where the clinic is located.

  3. Gee, Nancy, I just wanted to stand up and salute your eagle! Amazing! I get a lump in my throat when I get to see them flying free.
    Great little quilt!
