A classic primitive folk art quilting book from 1999 by Jan Patek and Alma Allen.
I love this quilt and there are more gorgeous prim quilts inside. I love this book, but I happen to have two since I was gifted some books from a generous follower. So leave me a comment if you would like to have the book, please be a follower and I will let you know midweek on who gets the book. Oh, you can live anywhere on the planet.
I enjoy your blog but never comment. I can envision the quilts in this book as wool applique on flannel, which I have been doing quite a bit of lately. I am throwing my hat in for the lottery. Love your quilts and also your landscape/wildlife photos. You live in a beautiful section of the country.
ReplyDeleteI am a follower (okay, stalker! LOL!) and appreciate your giveaway as I just love primitive quilts! Thanks for the giveaway!

ReplyDeleteI've read your blog regularly for several years but never been a follower until now. I just signed up to receive it by email. I love the wedding quilt as well as Jan's older designs so would love to win the book. I've had the blocks finished for the quilt in your header for at least a couple years and really need to get back to it and finish the borders. It's one of my favorites of Jan's designs.

ReplyDeleteThat's something special to win and I would love it. Can you tell me a bit more about your friends eBay site as I tried to get into it for the kits she is selling but couldn't get her site to come up. I would have loved the Bible quilt kit but one has to be quick to get such a treasure.
ReplyDeleteOh I would be more than happy to get it!!
ReplyDeletePerhaps because it's your's ;)

ReplyDeleteIt looks a lovely book - I'd happily take it off your hands - been enjoying nature watching all your local critters lately - we've just had snow but thankfully in the town haven't had anything as wild as you have - now wouldn't that be a shock if we did
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I was a follower or not but I just signed up so I must not have been. I have had you on my sidebar for a few years - I just followed "unofficially"! Love Jan Patek's work and have plenty of her books, just not this one.
ReplyDeleteNot sure how to become a follower (please let me know how) but I am sure I would love a chance to make the gorgeous quilts in this fantastic book -- Jan Patek and Alma Allen -- two of the best of the folk art quilt world! Thanks for the opportunity. I love your Big Horn pictures -- I think they come to look at your quilts!!! The pictures of the sheep and your mountains look like Heaven to me.

ReplyDeleteOH how I would love to win this book as that wedding quilt is one I have admired for years and would love to make. I love the bird border on top and then the big flower pots on the other 3 borders always loved that design element and a 4 block quilt , my favorite antique quilt style, sold me on this quilt a long time ago. I had always hoped she would remake this quilt and sell it as a pattern
