Boy, woke up two days in a row and not much thinking while I was asleep. I have been thinking about making a black quilt, may be too morbid, but sometimes you just have to make a quilt that's in your head. It will remind me that sadness and death are part of life, a friend's husband died unexpectedly, one year from retirement, so sad and such good people for this to have happened.
Now to being tagged by Libby for the thinking and inspirational award. To name five more quilters who inspire me, some of the same that you all have named, I'm afraid I don't know how to make the links to their blogs, but I bet you already have them in your favorites anyway.
Dawn, nothing slows her down, and she is always making, finishing quilts with her busy schedule, all this and she's funny, too, especially when she said I live a charmed life. I wish, I just get to live in a wonderful, beautiful place, but it's been hard work getting to this stage in my life. Patti, such a great writer and quilter and teacher of techniques to help those trying to learn. Libby, back at you. Lucy, a whole different country, but the quilting is the same. Jeanne, always so deep in thought sometimes, balancing her life with her family, yet sharing her beautiful quilts with us.
I'm in this pic, thank goodness I've learned to be a little more color coordinated.
Nancy, I have seen a quilt done in all black and whites. It looked fabulous! If you really want to make one it will be stunning!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie you are. And I know which one is you!!!! I remember that picture!!!!
ReplyDeleteNancy, I love black quilts. Black makes everything else shine to brightly. Go right ahead - sounds like a great project.
ReplyDeleteI'm honored that you've listed me as inspirational - thank you! I've been tagged three times now and haven't posted about it. Hopefully this weekend. Work sure does get in my way during the week!
A big smile ...
ReplyDeleteJeanne :)
A black quilt sounds great to me. It's a color that turns up quite often around here - can't wait to see what you do.
ReplyDeleteThank you mfor mentioning me on your blog.. I did the same with you :-) .... You know one day I show you a real folkart quilt .. I love to see yours so much that I have to make one myself :-)
ReplyDeleteIs that pink and orange together on two of the girls? If so, the Walmart ads have lots of orange and pink outfits together. I was admiring them, since I have a pink and orange quilt planned. They copied off of me!
