Folklore

The top pic is what I was appliqueing on the roof yesterday, the colors are so wonderful, all wool and appliqued with wool threads with a whip stitch. The only cotton is the little striped square. Sets off this section just perfectly.

I forgot to say since I'm now editing this post that Libby tagged me for the blogs that inspire and make me think, yikes, my best thinking comes while I'm sleeping, seriously, I wake up with a quilting design in my head, so I will think tonight and post tomorrow.

  1. The applique looks wonderful! I've never wool appliqued. I did buy a kit at my favorite quilt shop. Once I'm organized I will make an attempt at it. Keep well and happy quilting!

  4. Your wool applique is gorgeous! I've done 2 wool applique quilts and I think I did too much and now I need a break from wool.

  9. Love your applique pieces! The colors and workmanship are wonderful. They remind me of Sue Spargo quilts.
