Here's a baby big horn with her mother, this is the mother that I thought had broke her leg, but she's not limping now and is putting weight on that leg so maybe it was just a sprain. These animals have such a will to survive and persevere. Looking from the house to the lower meadow and out towards the highway that leads to Yankee Jim Canyon and on to Yellowstone.

Folklore & Wildlife
I can't seem to post quilt pics without including wildlife. The first two are from Sue Spargo's Folklore BOM, Jeanne is doing this one also. I didn't make any changes to the first block, but the background on the second block was a little to much teal in color for me so I dipped it in a solution of walnut crystals. The red in the center of the white wool is velvet, not the easiest fabric to needle turn. At the top the white buttons from my stash replaced white wool circles, having lots of fun with this BOM.

I love the block of the month. It's fun watching the quilt grow. Don't ever quit putting the wildlife pics in your posting. For a brief moment each day, we get a chance to be your neighbor... Trust me..I'm really interested. Thanks for sharing...
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the blocks. You are most intrepid to needleturn velvet. Well worth the effort.
ReplyDeleteI still love that one iwth the buttons!
ReplyDeleteThese are cute - good idea to use buttons. I also enjoyed your deer antlers post. As a city girl, I don't know much about such things.
