Kaffe Gone Primitive

Finally, I finished this quilt, it shouldn't have taken me this long, just hate machine quilting and am not in a position money wise to send my quilts out, must be why there are several more waiting to be done. I started with the inspiration from one of Kaffe Fassett's books, he uses large floral fabrics in huge blocks or strips, when I was finished, the quilt looked too plain so I added some needleturn applique to add that primitive look I love so much.

  1. Your quilt turned out just super!! Very pretty!

Your house photo looks like a post card!!!! WOW at all that snow!!!! I am sure if I didn't freeze completely to death, I would love it there!

  2. Those flowers are the icing on the cake and the quilting looks pretty good too - love it!

It's just wonderful -- the applique makes it so. Love it, love it, love it *s*

  8. It is soooo cute!!! I love it. And it has one of my favorite fabrics in it!!!!!

  9. You're so smart to change the pattern to your liking! I love the applique on it. You're right, it would have been boring without it.
