I have finally finished my
Emily Munroe Quilt.
Years of hand stitching to complete this
replica of a Civil War quilt.
Wool applique on wool backgrounds with
yarn and specialty threads for embellishment.
Instead of quilting, I used the potholder method
to finish the quilt.
The original quilt is showcased in
this pattern from Francine Quinn
of Hoopla Patterns.
Woohoo! It is simply gorgeous. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteWow! Wow! Wow! You have outdone yourself! That looks stunning.
ReplyDeleteIt is one of the most beautiful quilts ever! Yes, a great big WOW, but there aren't words to express the joy you must feel for having accomplished this great work. And, of course, there just had to be a beautiful backdrop of snow in which to showcase it! It's feeble to say, but I love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty. I'm having trouble getting back into my quilting. Early snow hasn't helped.
ReplyDeleteYou are an inspiration.
Congratulations, Nancy! It's beautiful. What a treasure!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on finishing your beautiful quilt! I love the way you put it outside for the picture with the woods and the snow. So now you should enter it in a competition. Or just keep it at home and admire it every day!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning, Nancy. Congratulations on finishing, such an achievement! The image would look so beautiful on cards.
