Yellowstone

In honor of the 100th Birthday of the National Park Service,
some of my Yellowstone vintage post cards.
Photographer was Frank J. Haynes

They actually fed the bears back then.

Amazing that they did feed the bears garbage near the hotels.

  5. So interesting to see these vintage cards...not knowing the area, I was interested to see how big the Inn looked & that there was a fort too!
    Does the Inn still exist?

  6. The old cards are beautiful. It is my wish to visit some of your impressively beautiful parks one day, your National Park Service is a wonderful organisation and I follow some of the Instagram accounts of the parks, they have the most beautiful pictures.

  9. These are fantastic. I love old postcards. Funny what we have learned about nature and wildlife since then. My daughter loved Yellowstone and her trip began a quest to visit every national park. They are well on their way. Thank you for sharing these remarkable images.
