I so admire the work of Cee of Early Style Penny Rugs on Etsy. Her designs are so vintage and primitive in detail. These are some of her woolen stocking kits on sale in her Etsy shop. I so love them!
I bought the Menagerie kit and actually had people in line at the post office laughing when I squealed at seeing the package. I've been anticipating how much fun it was going to be to stitch this huge stocking. It's big, like 28" from the top to the bottom toe of the stocking.
The aged string is the perfect thread for the primitive applique. Not sure I'm going to be able to part with this stocking when I'm finished.
Now these are really nifty. I will have to check these out.
ReplyDeleteI too bought the patterns for two of her wonderful stockings and I still received all the folk art wool pieces hand cut by Cee herself.....what a job that must be! Her primitive designs are definitely some of my favorites....
