Block two from this BOM completed and hanging to give me a visual for the next block. The backgrounds of these two blocks are from an older line from Moda Basic Wovens in various shades of orange with lines or checks.
I hope to complete the entire quilt, even the border, in a year since the needle turn applique method takes more time, but needle turn seems to suit this quilt and the design.
My heart goes out to those affected by the Boston tragedy.
it makes a difference in the way it looks from the package to the clothes line, doesn't it? much more of a statement. both are lovely.

Your blocks are lovely and I would like to tell you how much I appreciate not only the gorgeous pictures of your blocks and quilts, but also the wonder and beauty of where you live. Your pictures are always so wonderful and peaceful as well as calming. With such continual insanity in our society anymore, your pictures are greatly appreciated.
ReplyDeleteYour two blocks look great and I love your colour choice.

Ah, another block. I never found the rust colors for the background on this quilt. I need to just settle on something else and go for it.

ReplyDeleteI love this quilt. In fact I love it so much I appliqued the top last year. It isn't quilted yet and I am so anxious to work on it again. Your two blocks are great, I really like the colors you have chosen. You're going to have a wonderful applique journey.
