Ode to Sue Spargo and a Pronghorn

It was been cool enough in the evening for me to finished stitching the applique on my wool wallhanging, Ode to Sue Spargo.  I need to decide on the embellishment.  I like the simplicity of the piece.

A real surprise outside my window today, a pronghorn.

The fastest land animal in North America.

Leaving the property as I was able to snap one last
picture of it in the lower meadow.

  1. The Ode quilt is bigger than i though. I love it's simplicity, too.

  2. I love the Ode, too! I talked to the gal that has "Mercer Lane", she got it out of her attic and once she finishes decorating her shop for a W.C. Handy (Florence, AL) festival next week, she and I will dicker on a price... :)

I think of your "Ode" quilt as the Candlestick quilt. :) It's going to be a beauty!!!!
