Maggie's White Purse in Red

I started the little purse that Maggie designed that I posted earlier from the Primitive Quilts & Projects magazine.  Red being my favorite color and having this thrift red wool, decided to use it.  I ended up adding a thin batting to stabilize the wool and hand quilted it a touch with perle cotton.  I couched some wool yarn in addition to the applique.  Just need to add the straps and the button closure.  It was a quick and easy little purse to make, think I make actually keep it for myself.

  5. I love it in red, white is too white for me, lol.
Nice idea to change it up too with a different color applique.

  8. Was the purse hard to make and did you do it all by hand? It's very pretty in the red!
