Some good news

I saw my ortho doctor today, after a long trip to Bozeman, a little snow, but otherwise uneventful except for a few tears when I had to talk about Jim and the accident. My pelvis is healing on it's own, so I won't need surgery if I continue to progress as I have done despite everything. So another month on crutches, can start to bear weight, but am not to return to work until the doctor sees me at the end of April, so no decisions for now. I will let my mind and body rest and just be for the moment.

  2. So glad to hear that you are healing, well your hip is healing, the heart is another matter entirely. Having been where you are about 18 months ago I know what is ahead of you. It's hard but I am really beginning to come out of it, I know from reading your blog that you are a strong person you will come through this as well.

  3. I am so glad to hear that, and hopefully you won't be chasing any bears away and hurting yourself;) We still have cold weather too and some possible flurries, I think we have all had enough of this winter.

  5. That is really good news. I'm so glad you don't have to go through any surgery. Hang in there with the crutches. I'm sure it requires alot of attention.

  6. A good report! And honestly, not making any huge decisions right now, but just resting and sorting out things at home, might be for the best. There is time for the other stuff. Right now, it is about YOU.

  12. I'm so happy for you, Nancy, that no further surgery will be needed. You needed some good news. Thankfully there was no damage to the hip. Pelvis' heal on their own usually.

    God bless you my friend!

I think time to heal, time to rest, will ultimately give you the time you need to move forward...

  15. That is a good idea...just rest and be. A mourning quilt might be a good idea. One that you give away maybe.....
