K.T.

K.T. is a Montana cat, after we bought the house, we were up here for two weeks while still living in Texas to start some clean up and here was this little gray fur ball that the renters had cruelly left behind. She was so thirsty she walked right in the open door, knocked over a mop bucket and tried to drink the soapy water. Well, we took her back to Texas with us so she got to live there for a year, bet she was wondering where the hell she was going and then back to Montana to her original home. She is the sweetest thing except when she was young, a huge hunter, but probably the only way she learned to survive with those renters. Now at probably age 15 she is content to lounge on Jim's bed or the heating pad.

  2. We inherited a Ollie (who looks much like KT) from previous renters, too. They tried to take Ollie with them, but they only moved a couple of blocks and Ollie kept coming back. One day a young girl came to the door with kitty dishes and a sack of food. Her mother sent her to see if we would be willing to keep Ollie -- they would pay for his keep. Of course we were willing and without pay. Turns out the girl was the same age as our daughter. They became good friends and we got a fine kitty, too *s*

  4. Oh Nancy, your kitties are sooooo beautiful...and you are so lucky to get to give them all that love and attention. They do become our own special angels don't they?

KT is just adorable, and I can certainly see you taking him with you. Breaks my heart that some owners just walk away and leave a kitten to wonder what happened.
Your Sable is so beautiful too. I love the pictures..especially the close ups. You got some really great shots of him.
I'm so glad if I helped in some way after my silly little poem about Ebby last week. She's not my first cat, as I've given my heart away several times before the golden retriever. I'd always been a cat person, understanding and respecting their way of being in the world. The golden belonged to youngest son, and was abandoned in favor of a girl friend. He came to live with me, and turned into a real blessing, as I learned to live alone.
It's hard to write or share about what we've lost when we love them so deeply. Sending big hugs for you, and tummy rubs for all the furry ones, FInn
