I designed and started stitching this quilt
top way back in 2005.
All the applique is needle turned.
I've been looking at it pinned to my ceiling
for all those years.
Good grief, that's twelve years.
Time to add borders to the left and right
and then hand quilt it.
Nancy, I like the design of your quilt very much. Stars and moon and geese. All good.
ReplyDeletenice design. twelve years, I finished a quilt that was in my cedar chest for almost that long. My friend and I started one out of scrap fabric and she moved back home and my quilt went into the cedar chest. It did get finished and was used for many many years. hugs, lj

It is amazing to think that this was all needle-turned applique. Your lines are so straight and your corners so perfect! The colors and design are beautiful -- just perfect! Before I read your post, the quilt impressed me as perfect as it is. I like the geese on top and bottom and the black border on the side. And after I reading your post, I still think it's perfect as it is. I say that but I don't have a clue what your vision of the finished quilt is. Whatever you do will be perfect for the quilt.
ReplyDeleteWonderful design! Love that you hang your quilts on the ceiling :)

ReplyDeleteA beautiful design! I love the movement I see in it. You will enjoy handquilting this. After that will it go back on the ceiling or do you have another place for it?
