  1. These are another of God's miracles; just love them. I am always amazed at how loud their voices are for such tiny things!

  3. Beautiful shots and nice close ups.
I need to fill my feeder, the humidity dries it up and the ants seem to love it too.

  4. I miss hummingbirds so much they are nowhere to found around here. Back home there would be at least 15 at my mom's feeders. I never had that many, just one or two. I enjoyed watching them. Thank you for sharing your pictures.

  8. I never get tired of seeing them especially your great shots. I have 4 feeders, one on each corner of my deck so I'm surrounded by them every day. Love it when they get right in front of my face and hover. ;)

  9. Beautiful pictures! I love just Hummingbirds too and I've got two nice big feeders for them. I'm with susiedele in the comment above me - I love it when they're right in front of you hovering. They sure can get mad at one another though!

P.S. I've been meaning to figure out that 'no reply' thing (it's on my list to do). Computers....sheesh!!! ;o)

  10. As always Nancy, great photos. I don't see many around my home but my neighbour farther along the Fraser River has some visit her and another friend in West Vancouver see a lot also. Of course I never have my camera near when they visit.

  11. One thing I really miss about living in Japan are these flying gems ... and there are so many of the very plants they would enjoy too. Our flying jewel is the common kingfisher, a wee bit bigger but anything but common in looks.

  13. Wonderful! I just love hummingbirds. We have two feeders & they are buzzing about all day. Today one was hovering over our long haired dachsy as he was laying in the sun. Then three turkeys landed on the back deck. They were flapping around in the firepit the other day. Love nature.
