Primitive Peels

I'm honored to have my Primitive Peels quilt published in the 2015 Fall issue of the
Primitive Quilts and Projects magazine.

I used classic Brannock and Patek fabrics for the appliqued peels.
I used the needle turn applique method to applique the peels.
The background is a Moda woven black pinstripe.
Hand quilted with black thread using the big stitch.

A beautiful cover photo of Sue Spargo's Pot of Blooms.

  1. I love the idea of doing peals and also have one with smaller leaf types, from one of Brackman's books, might do that one for a bed quilt with the flannels.

  10. Nancy - I was so happy to see your quilt in the magazine and I have been wanting to make an orange peel quilt. And I think I have some Brannock and Patek fabrics. I'm sure I do. Nancy P.
