My Sue Spargo Quilts

I'm looking forward to starting Sue's BOM, In Full Bloom, in a few weeks.  So showing all the BOMs of hers that I have made in the past.
Ginger Grove, 2005

My red version of Ginger Grove, 2006.

Mercer Lane, 2006

Folklore, 2007

Imperial Blooms, 2011

I've had the Creative Stitching book for a month or so.  Really like it, small size and easy to refresh my mind on a stitch or two before I start working on a quilt.

Sandi asked what I'm working on, will show some of what I'm making in the next week or so, been very distracted by the wildlife.

  1. I love all the quilts but Ginger Grove has always been my favourite. I was too late to join in Sue's BOM for 2014. All the places had been taken. I'll just have to wait for the pattern at the end of the year. Meantime I can watch you making yours.

  2. Yes, I think Ginger Grove is my favourite too. I love both your versions. I was luckily enough to attend one of Sue's classes here in Melbourne, Australia, a few years ago. It was great to see her class samples up close & hear her thoughts on what inspires her work.

  9. Beautiful Nancy! Love all of them, especially the Folklore. And girlfriend, I am envious :) Making a Sue Spago wool wall quilt & her Creative Stitching book is on my future bucket-list. Looking forward to the pix of the wildlife distracting you. Your Memory quilt in the latest Primitive Quilt mag is awesome!! :D Jackie in NC
