This was the quilt that knocked me off the ladder, Baskets, Berries & Leaves. I have the top and bottom border to go and all I wanted to do was estimate the applique placing on those borders. I'm glad to get it off the wall. I had someone else take it down. Yikes, can't even look at the ladder much less get on one right now.
The front of the Mourning Quilt that I'm making for my friend. The tiny crosses are needle turn applique as is the larger cross and then I machine appliqued the background around the crosses. It will be a two sided wall hanging and I hope to start the applique on the back today.
A mule deer, sweet smile with a far away look in her eyes, aren't her eyelids unusual. She climbed the steps to the deck to eat the last of the flowers.
I drove off the property today, I was yelling, can anyone see me, this is a big deal. And then I drove back.
Thanks for the comments on my anonymous friend's gift, I was as blown away as you guys sounded.
I'm yelling Hooray with you! A bit of independence back!!
