Bald Eagle, Graphic

I took this picture weeks before I broke my leg.  I wasn't going to post this picture of a Bald Eagle on a deer that had been hit by a car, thought it might be too graphic. But. It speaks of the cycle of life however disturbing it is sometimes. Reality. I see that a lot up here in the animal world, fighting for food, fighting for survival, fighting for a mate, it's all instinct for them.  I admire that.  I finally saw the little Pronghorn the other day with the rest of her family, the one that I thought had broken her leg.  She still had a slight limp, but the bone looks as though it has healed over, she doesn't bend it, but she has learned how to walk and run anyway.

I'm progressing well, I think.  Yesterday was my first day outside and I was able to get down the stairs of the deck and walk the driveway with my walker, more like dragging the walker over the gravel.  I walked to my car, sat in it, it started which surprised me, I let it idle while I listen to Beatle music and I sat there, imagining that I was driving.  Boy, did that feel good.

I am glad you could get out and hopefully you can sit on the deck and do some stitching and enjoying the fall weather.
