That Would be my Quilt on the Cover

Montana Stars, my quilt on the cover of the Primitive Quilts magazine winter issue for 2013.  I'm sure Jeni and the ladies at the magazine will come up with a more clever name.  It's inspired by an antique quilt and instead of piecing the blocks, I appliqued them to give the quilt a different look and just because I love to applique.  Lots of Brannock and Patek fabrics used in this quilt.

Thanks to the ladies at the Primitive Quilts magazine, a giveaway goes with this post.  Be a follower and leave me a comment and the winner will receive a one year free subscription or renewal to the magazine.  I'll pick a winner at the end of the week.

Thank you all who left me such wonderful comments and well wishes.  I'm pleased to be able to bend my knee and leg and get some work done at my desktop computer today.

I have been a follower for several years because I absolutely love your work! You have a special 'flair' in your quilt designs that speaks to me. Having made the cover of Primitive Quilts is a well-earned honor. Winning a subscription would be very exciting for me.

When you wrote that you fell off a ladder and broke your leg, I was sure that you were hanging a quilt. Take good care of yourself. I'm praying that you have a speedy and total recovery.
