Wash Day and a New Project

A primitive quilt I stitched and appliqued years ago, hangs in the kitchen.  It's called Clay Pot, 2 since I made another one without the leaf.  I actually used this design to teach my one and only class in beginning applique.
I'm making myself do some deep cleaning in the kitchen before I paint the cabinets, it's been years since the kitchen has been painted so it's time.

I new project hanging on the wall, inspired by an antique quilt I saw on Pinterest.  White wool background, wool brown squares with a circle cut from the center, this was the hardest part and getting it to line up without losing it's shape and wool red stars in all the circles.  It's getting warm so may only get it laid out and not appliqued until it turns cooler.  I don't have AC except in the bedroom and haven't installed that yet, stays so cool at night and something about listening to the quiet.

  3. I like the echo quilting you used on the pieces. And the pot and flowers is a very good prim design.

  5. Your wool quilt looks perfectly lined up to me. I
love the contrast between the brown and white.
It will be very eyecatching when it's finished.
