A Cross Quilt and Deer

I've been working on another cross quilt from Jim's shirts, a block here and there between other projects.  The blocks are large with needle turn applique crosses so I think will only need four more blocks for a queen size quilt.  My quilt projects in progress line the wall in my fabric room.
White tail deer from a year or so ago, looking forward to spring and summer to see the next generation.
Their little legs look like twigs, but they can run.

  1. I really like how your cross quilt came out and can't wait to see the new one. Mom and her babe, are so sweet.

  4. You know, that is what always amazed me about deer growing up is their legs. They always looked so dainty. Like they could just be snapped so easily. I'd watch them BOING BOING BOING across our fields and BOIIIIING over our fences like it was nothing. Beautiful.

I have a friend who just lost her husband. She is a quilter. I think it is a neat idea what you are doing with your sweetheart's shirts. I'm going to pass the idea along...... it's only been two weeks. A very hard two weeks as you well know.
