Wedding Ring Pillow
Almost done with the Wedding Ring Pillow, this is just the top, need to add a turquoise bead to the bird's beak and either ribbon to tie the rings or I have in mind wrapping some variegate wool threads in silk turquoise thread. Need to square it up and add the backing which will have a fabric scan of their wedding invitation. Very please to find out after starting this project that Julie's daughter, Malou, has bought china that has a turquoise border and birds for the center. What a coincidence. The feathers are from that estate sell I went to a while back. I think the bird looks like a Spanish love bird if there is such a thing. You can see the Sue Spargo influence.

Your wedding pillow is wonderful. I love the colours you have used and the feathers are a great addition. It will be orders for pillows instead of orders for hats.
ReplyDeleteThe pillow is lovely. Sounds like it will be a kept momento that will highlight their own color choices.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful pillow! Perfect for that special day...and yes, I can see Sue Spargo's influence...wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThe Pillow is lovely and I absolutely love the bird. Maybe an influence from Sue Spargo, but the the execution is all yours.
