Elk and a quilt I love

I love this quilt, designed by Joanna Figueroa of Fig Tree Quilts, it's called Prairie Sweets, and I caught a peek of it in the new April 08 APQ magazine, I must order it from the Fig Tree website and make it in my colors, a little darker in those dark primitive colors I love so much. Just love the round design on the background. And we have been having so much snow, the Elk are down and I was able to catch some pics of them in the lower meadow as they moved thru the property on their search for food, in one pic you can see the male, a Bull Elk with his huge set of antlers and his harem of female elk

  1. I love that quilt too. I am trying not to be tempted because there are about 4 of those fig tree quilt patterns that I just want to have.

The quilt is lovely. Folk Art offers a variety of designs and traditional styles. The pics of the elk are really good.

  4. The elk are so beautiful -- how wonderful that you're so close to such majestic wildlife. I love that quilt pattern too -- I hope you make it -- it would be great to see it in the darker colors!
