Birds of a Feather

so far, I decided to restart my wool Birds of a Feather, adding the three squares under the first block. I continue to use only my applique method since I want to keep the depth of the wool evident.
A pic of some of my recent purchases, a Romana Cann, rug hooking designer, book, folk art motifs to trace if you can't draw, that I can't, at least in this wonderful folk art style she has.
Two Fig tree patterns, the Prairie Sweets that I want to make and an easy purse pattern.
And in the new Country Living magazine, this creative use of zippers by designer, Sandy Stone, in making throws with only zippers sewed together.

  1. I love the idea of using the rug hooking book as a source for folk art motifs . . . I can't draw a straight line with a ruler!
I'm so glad to see Birds of a Feather - it is going to be one stunning quilt.

  2. I am very attracted to that prairie sweets pattern and I have seen that handbag pattern in the store - it looks fun too. Glad to see your Birds quilt.
