Deer and Candle Mats

Here's a pic of the doe that had lost her fawn, taken thru the kitchen window screen and look how well her fawn has grown up, although Mom is teaching her some bad manners.

And then a birthday gift for our Nurse's birthday breakfast, made three candle mats for each with the miniture Indian corn and candles and had to use brown bags since I was too cheap to buy wrapping paper at the store. Hope you can't tell that the bags are for wine.

Just some wildlife pics

Really wanted to show a pic of one of the fawns, the weather has cooled so we have big horns coming down again, and they were drinking from the birdbath and the fawn got stuck in the middle of the them and she froze, not knowing what these animals were, you could tell she was looking for her ma to tell her what to do, she finally sprinted away, would have made a great picture with her and the big horns.

August installment of Folklore

Pleased to have this installment completed of Sue Spargo's Folklore with August having been such a busy quilting month. My geese weren't flying right so I had to add another flower, the geese are a combination of wool and cotton with beads on three of the geese.

I tried to add the subscribe button to bloglines yesterday and where does it end up, at the very bottom of the page and I did it three times. This makes me crazy. So if you want to subscribe, that's where you'll find it.

Bailey and a rabbit

I'm testing some changes to my blog so I thought I would show you Bailey and him stalking a rabbit thru the screen door, I wonder if the rabbit sees him and knows it's safe to be eating the seed that has been spilled on the steps.

A Fall Swap

My yahoo group is having the best Fall Swap, Libby and I were swap partners, she made me the most wonderful prim Acorn table runner although it may become a wallhanging. Lots of wool applique with a varied background of brush cottons in those great dark prim colors. I just love it. Dawn surprised me for no reason with this cute Turkey mat, his tongue must be hanging out from the heat. And then the final picture is the Hospitality table topper I made for Libby, an old Jan Patek pattern with a few changes that I thought would suit Libby better.
