A tote and a moose

We had this female moose all day at the clinic walking the river, she's very pregnant and just seemed tired, she was still there when I left. It made for a fun day especially for some of the patients that had neve seen a moose. The pic of the tote is still a work in progress, the wool applique is a variation of a design from Sue Spargo and I still need to add the straps, it's a birthday gift for my boss, using some vintage apron fabric and some buttons she had given me from a friend who had died, she will be tickled when she sees it in that I was able to use the apron fabric, I used black wool for the tote itself and quilted it with a variagated thread.

  1. We don't see moose in our neck of the woods so I'm enjoying your photos. The bag is quite nice and I'm so inspired by yours and others that I've been seeing recently on blogsites. Happy first day of spring. :D

  2. What great photos of Mama Moose! Wouldn't it be neat to get to see her little calf (fawn?) when it is born?! (Oh, darn, now I'll have to look up what a baby moose is called!!!) Love the bag too.
