Well...

I finished Sue Spargo's 2017 BOM Fresh Cut,
but I can't show it to you yet so...

I'll show you some Elk photos instead.

After the latest winter storm they
have been hanging out behind the house.

Not too much snow, but bitter cold.

Her eyes...

A little one...

The view from my house...

  1. I can't wait to see your finished quilt, you always do a beautiful job on her designs. The elk are so beautiful and good to see them thriving in your area.

  4. Looking forward to your future unveiling of Fresh Cuts.
And the Elk, gorgeous animals. I hope to see one someday, have read some are doing well in the Cherokee,N.C area. They show up moving along in streams.
    Thanks again Nancy.

  5. Do the Elk know that you are taking there pictures? I wouldn't get anything done with that in my back yard. I have black Angus cattle in my back field and front field and I love to watch them. I must admit that I talk to them too. Nancy P.

    1. Hi Nancy, the elk are watching me from a distance when I'm outside so I have to be very cautious not to scare them and keep my distance from them. I used a telephoto lens to take these photos.

  8. What a great view. I always love seeing the animals who live near you. I especially like the first photo where they have their back sides to you but have their heads turned toward you, too. It's amazing they can do that.
