Stark Raven Mad

It has taken me awhile, but finally finished hand quilting my version of Cherie's Stark Raven Mad, from her book Under the Stars.
It didn't help that I had to hand quilt thru several layers of wool in some places with crochet cotton.  I used the baptist fan stencil for the quilting design, now to sew the binding.
Here's Cherie's version in case you have never seen it.  Great book, great patterns and quilts.

  3. Love the changes you made to it. I also like my birds to be going all the same direction and not upside down. Beautiful work....

  4. Hi Nancy,
This is a stunner, I love the colours you've used. Sore fingers from quilting usually respond well to chocolate.... eaten liberally of course!!

  5. I am trying to remember if I still have some of that border fabric that you used for the quilt. Good finish. I made one or two quilts out of Cherie's book. A good book to have in a prim library.

  9. The name alone is brilliant! You've done a beautiful job. As always. Hand quilting can be a beast. I love it though. I find I like doing things the hard way....... (shakes her head and sighs..........)
