Primitive Strippy Quilt

Pretty sure I've shown you all this quilt before, but as it came down from the ceiling for a cleaning, thought I would take a pic.  All vintage Brannock & Patek fabrics.
Simple strips with just a touch of applique.  The layout is based on an antique quilt I saw in a book.  I actually had a label on it, made in 2004, hope it hasn't been on the ceiling that long.

  1. It's always a surprise to me when I look at my quilt labels. I think back to when I made them and the inspiration at the time. Doesn't time fly by so quickly!

  2. This is a great primitive quilt, but I think the modern quilters would like it too! Great job on making it look old and loved!

  6. I just stumbled onto your blog, and was curious about the picture of your handsome Jim. So I've just spent the last hour going back and reading your posts of the accident and the months following. I'm so sorry. Anyway, I am going to go to bed now and hug my hubby, and treat him tomorrow as if it is our last day together. We never know do we? Your life has changed mine today - just wanted you to know. Thank you. God bless you.
