A FINISH

Machine quilted, don't think I'll do that again on wool, even with only flannel for the batting and fabric for the backing it was hard on my Bernina, lots of lint and tugging and repositioning in order not to stretch the wool or appliqued wool.

  1. I machine quilted on a wool piece and wasn't particularly happy with the results. Your quilt is beautiful! I just ordered "Birds of a Feather" book yesterday.

  2. I love your quilt. It's beautiful! Would you have it long arm quilted or how would you quilt it next time?

  3. Your quilt is lovely. I wish my Birds of a Feather was done. I'm on block 8 and keep thinking I might stop and arrange it any way I want like you did. Your quilt turned out so nice. I'm sorry it was such a struggle to quilt.

  4. I often wondered about that! Wonder if a long armer could do it easier if they would have a problem too?

  5. I'm doing this quilt also but in cotton. All my applique is done -- dragging my feet on the pieced blocks. Yours is beautiful. Congrats on being finished.

  6. It is so, so pretty! I bet it was difficult to quilt due to the thickness of the layers. Love it Nancy!

  7. Nancy, It is gorgeous! I have the book and have wanted to do it. I like that you used wool and only did part of the quilt. Why didn't I think of only doing part of the quilt. It will be gorgeous hanging in your home. I also want to do something with wool applique.
