I started the little purse that Maggie designed that I posted earlier from the Primitive Quilts & Projects magazine. Red being my favorite color and having this thrift red wool, decided to use it. I ended up adding a thin batting to stabilize the wool and hand quilted it a touch with perle cotton. I couched some wool yarn in addition to the applique. Just need to add the straps and the button closure. It was a quick and easy little purse to make, think I make actually keep it for myself.
Hi Nancy, That purse turned out very nice.
ReplyDeleteI love Maggie B. and your rosy treasure! Karmen
ReplyDeleteGreat project - You'll get questioned every where you carry it ;-)
ReplyDeleteWow----it's great, can't wait to make one for the grand daughter's birthday in January.
ReplyDeleteI love it in red, white is too white for me, lol.
ReplyDeleteNice idea to change it up too with a different color applique.
Debbie
I love the purse. I think that's my favorite pattern from that issue.
ReplyDeleteIt's very beautiful in red!
ReplyDeleteKisses from France!
Was the purse hard to make and did you do it all by hand? It's very pretty in the red!
