I finished block 5 today, decided to wait to add the outline embellishment stitches until the quilt is quilted. Remember now that is what I did previously to anchor the applique since it is difficult to machine quilt up close to the embellishments, at least for me.
Difference between the two layouts, yes, or there will be, decided also to add the scraps of leftover fabrics to my blocks to break up the background and just like the look.

ReplyDeleteWow, those blocks look wonderful together!
ReplyDeleteI have seen one or two other bloggers making Emperial Blooms blocks, but I haven't seen them together before.
Beautiful!!!
Nancy, I like the addition of the scraps here and there. It adds just the right touch!

I didn't even think of the embellishments hindering the quilting. They sure are pretty.
ReplyDeleteNancy, these are stunning!! It makes me itch to get back to working on mine, but I have other commitments for the next couple weeks. I can't wait.
