COLLECTOR SERIES & A TOTE
The beginning of another block in the Collector Series, the tree is suppose to be machine stitched, but tend to like my triangles appliqued, have an aversion to stitching triangles or just sitting behind the sewing machine.
And then I made a tote for myself for a change, saw a bracelet in Country Living with watches attached to them like the old charm bracelets, and decided to make a time line on the tote starting with an old antique watch that doesn't work, has the time set to when I was born, at the end will be another watch, ticking, had one on it, but it looked too big so will be another thrift store item I will be looking for. That is wool yarn that I couched with perle cotton for the circle.

Cool banner! Is that deer licking a cat?
ReplyDeleteWhat a great block! You have the best stash *s*
ReplyDeleteThe way you handled the tree block is good. Nothing wrong in doing it the way you work best.
ReplyDeleteLove the fabrics for your tree block. It is looking really good and I love the bag. Great embellishments. Who does that word remind you of? Will see her on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteLove that tree so far! And the tote!
ReplyDeleteYour tote is wonderful, and your tree too! I too prefer hand work to sitting behind the machine. Hope you and Jim are doing well.
